In response to the Thursday letter, “Where is the outcry about unions?” I offer the results of how the U.S. Supreme Court voted. The five conservative judges — Alito, Roberts, Scalia, Kennedy and Thomas, ruled for Citizens United. The four liberal judges — Stevens, Breyer, Ginsburg and Sotomayor, made up the minority.
So, just to let the writer know, the conservatives comprise the vast majority of Republicans in this country who coincidentally represent corporate America and the “liberal judges” are typically Democrats who historically labor support unions and voted against it.
Hope this clears it up.
