In a world where the United States is trying to promote democracy, it’s apparent that maybe we should start at home. In Washington state we seem to have ethics issues when it comes to how elections are to be run. To the casual observer it appears that if the results at the polls are not to your liking, one simply hires a lawyer and seeks out a court with a sympathetic ear to hear your case and rule in your favor.
Is this the meaning of democracy? Could this be why voter turnout is generally low, are the citizens fed up with vote manipulation? I believe the citizens of the U.S. need to take back control of the nation from the lawyers now in control.
