You may think that Pete Carroll, Darrel Bevell, Russell Wilson, Ricardo Lockette or Jermaine Kearse were responsible for that terrible last play by the Seahawks. However, the die was cast when Doug Baldwin made that vulgar display in the end zone after he caught the pass for the last touchdown for the Seahawks, which thankfully was not captured live but is now available for the whole world to see.
Russell is right, God does care about football games, but he cares more about our personal behavior. It would have been a travesty of justice for the Seahawks to win after that, and God set it up so that they lost in the worst possible way. The consolation is, those who God loves, he also chastens.
