Wow! Jay Inslee is running for governor of Washington. Inslee proposed tapping the state pension fund to provide seed money for tech startup companies that pledge to remain in Washington. Sounds like a congressman who has participated for over a decade in the Washington, D.C., madness having a hand in the raiding of the Social Security system, spending the surplus funds on many excessive an unnecessary government programs and placing the system at risk.
This also appears to be the opposite position Mr. Inslee had on partial privatization of Social Security, that of investing in established businesses. Mr. Inslee must not be aware that 80 percent to 90 percent of new small businesses fail in the first two years. I don’t blame him for wanting to leave Washington, D.C., with the public’s currently all-time low opinion of Congress.
His resume reveals he has no business, executive, management or supervisory experience. Why, he hasn’t even run a hotdog stand. Apparently his ego is far larger than his experience at managing anything, let alone a state of over 6.5 million. If you want to return to Washington state, why not pursue your occupation as a lawyer and continue to work in one of the least respected professions in the country? Washington, let’s not make the same mistake that was made when an inexperienced person was elected president and led our nation into economic ruin.
