We could use law like Alabama’s

Regarding the Oct. 2 letter, “Bad Alabama law based on race“: Already the crying begins for the immigrant school children of Alabama. Does it ever occur to anyone that immigrant children are the responsibility of the government of Mexico and not the American taxpayer? Why should parents who can barely afford to put their children through school have the added burden of children who are not even citizens to begin with?

And why should we allow them in colleges to take places away from our students? They are entitled to none of this. Why didn’t The Herald article mention that these students leaving the system leaves more money for our students and that the student-teacher ratio will improve for Alabamans?

When is our own state going to start cutting these freeloaders off the system before they start bilking more out of us? I, for one, am sick and tired of having my money stolen from me to be paid to people who are trespassers and do not belong here to begin with. Government only has the right to tax for its own citizens, not uninvited invaders.
