A proverb states, “As a slave is to the master, so a borrower is to the lender.”
You had a home with equity; now you are underwater. You lived on credit cards and borrowed on an inflated home value to support your lifestyle, which caused you to become a slave to the lender. Thus saith the prophet, “A fool and his money are soon parted.”
Likewise, our local, state and federal governments have gorged themselves on debt. We, as citizens, will become slaves to the exponential effects of this debt. Those who created the debt (the government as a front for the ultra-wealthy) will remain unscathed and escape the impact.
Slavery has shifted from physical oppression to economic bondage imposed on the unwary. Those who escape the grip of personal debt will be imprisoned by excessive taxes, eroding their futile attempt at savings. Retirement on a fixed income will be an illusion of the past.
The government plays the poor against the middle class when, at this juncture, it should be all of us vs. the government.
The ultra-wealthy whose dividends are taxed at 15 percent have never had a job and have no worries about retirement. They vacation non-stop and have their own private doctors.
Don’t be fooled again. Vote them out — federal, state and local, Democrat and Republican. Take back control from those who will not listen about the debt, those who want to enslave you. Slavery cannot end until the debt is paid.
