Regarding the article, “Lawmakers give governor an earful about ferries”: I hate to tell you this folks, but it’s not just the ferry system that needs a good shake-up. This whole state needs one. We need leadership and legislators that can control themselves enough to stop spending money we do not have on things we do not need. You know — just like at home when the paycheck doesn’t go far enough. Except in the state’s case, it’s tax revenue. That is the only way this state will get out of debt and hope to have any kind of financial surplus. Does every hand stuck under their noses need a pile of cash placed in it? That’s how they seem to do it nowadays here in my home state.
