Why all the fuss over Sen. Palumbo’s resignation?

I could say many things about Guy Palumbo’s nasty primary run against Luis Moscoso for the Senate. More importantly, I’m wondering why the Herald made the resignation of a one term senator front page news (“Guy Palumbo quits state Senate to become lobbyist for Amazon,” The Herald, May 25) when the elevation of Rep. John Lovick, with all his accomplishments, to speaker of the House, received so little mention.

To me, that’s a much bigger deal.
