At the last Council of Neighborhoods meeting, Everett’s Mayor was asked the question: “Why do we need a Rapid Transit System when we already have the Sounder train?” His reply was that Rapid Transit would have a smaller gauge track and would make more stops.
The question rises — why can’t the Sounder simply make more stops with each of these a bus transit hub and park-and-ride lot? That would save us taxpayers, what was that figure again? How many billions of dollars?
