Without it, most lawsuits ‘frivolous’

Well, the insurance companies have joined forces once more to defeat the twin evils of lawyers and “frivolous” lawsuits. Who decides and makes the determination of whether a lawsuit is frivolous or not? Is it the insurance companies? If it were up to them , no money would be paid out on claims…ever.

When I was injured in a car accident three years ago, the bills piled up while the insurance companies stalled and avoided settling the claim for as long as possible. We finally contacted our lawyer (that profession the insurance companies’ have demonized in their television ads) and he had the bills settled immediately.

I am very unhappy about my case possibly being labeled frivolous. I do not like pain medications and have avoided using them for most of my life.

Since the accident, I use a painkiller every night just to get a few hours sleep. If this is the insurance companies’ idea of frivolity, I’ll pass. A mouth full of root canals would be much more fun.

The insurance companies made a contract with us, and now they are looking for ways to hedge their bets, to get out of their end of the contract.

Don’t let them. Vote for Referendum 67.
