I got my primary ballot yesterday. I put it aside to wait for the voters’ pamphlet to arrive. Only when I was tossing the envelopes and enclosures from other mail, did I notice that I would have to go online to print out the pamphlet.
Per demographic studies, only 77.4 percent of Americans have Internet. Of course they could go to the library, but I don’t think that many would go there just to print out a voters’ pamphlet. And how many, like me, didn’t read the separate slip of paper that came with the ballot?
Considering the importance of getting more people to vote, I think this is a very poor decision, not mailing out a voters’ pamphlet.
