The other day someone made a comment about children having a hard time finding heroes because of all the hoopla about professional football players spitting on each other and collegiate athletes stepping on each other.
Well, if you’re looking for a hero look no further than I-5. I just got home to Marysville after being on I-5, and just past Exit 195, there on the side of the road was a Washington State Patrolman changing a tire in the rain. Did he do it for glory? Doubt that! He’d probably just say he was doing his duty. I have no idea who was in the car but there he was getting wet so some unfortunate person wouldn’t have to. I wish I could have gotten his name or some way to identify him. I’d like to shake his hand and say thank you being an angel of mercy.
Now whenever someone says the word hero, the image of him changing that tire will come to mind mind. He officially became my hero!
God bless and stay safe.
