Career: Colburn was one of the best hitters fastpitch softball has seen in this state. She hit .437 as a senior at Kamiak, leading the Knights to the state tournament while earning a scholarship to UCLA. She joined the two-time defending champion Bruins last fall and became an immediate starter, helping UCLA go back to the national championship game in June. She hit .294 as a freshman.
Postscript: Colburn still has three years of eligibility at UCLA, and the Bruins are looking for her to continue to provide offense and consistent glovework.
