The depth chart for this week’s game against No. 3 Oklahoma just came out, and there are a few minor changes from last week’s (which looked the same as the first game’s depth chart).
The starting tight end is listed as Michael Gottlieb or Kavario Middleton. Gottlieb was listed as the starter for the first two weeks, though Middleton started both games while Gottlieb continued to recover from a hamstring injury.
Tripper Johnson is listed as the starting strong safety ahead of Victor Aiyewa, who didn’t play against BYU because of a groin injury. Darin Harris, not surprisingly given his injury, is not on the depth chart.
David Freeman is listed as the starting tailback, while Chris Polk is listed fourth on the depth chart. Polk, the starter in the first two games, dislocated a shoulder against BYU, and it is unknown how long he will be out. Freeman did a nice job in the second half filling in, averaging five yards per carry.
I’ll be back with more notes after this afternoon’s press conference.
