PASCO — Reid VanScoter allowed just one run on two hits in six strong innings, and the Everett AquaSox rode a four-run third inning to a 4-1 win over the Tri-City Dust Devils on Wednesday to snap a four-game losing streak.
VanScoter walked just two, and Leon Hunter Jr., Michael Flynn and Logan Rinehart tossed a scoreless inning each to close the game.
Erik Stock opened the scoring in the key third inning for the AquaSox when he scored on a wild pitch with the bases loaded. Hogan Windish followed with a two-run double and Ben Ramirez added an RBI single as Everett took a 4-0 lead.
Axel Sanchez went 2-for-4 with a double and a stolen base for Everett (28-31).
Gabe Matthews had an RBI single that plated the lone run for Tri-City (31-28).
