EUGENE, Ore. — The Everett AquaSox slugged three home runs for the second straight game, received another strong starting pitching performance and rolled to their third straight win, 8-2, over the Eugene Emeralds on Friday evening.
Cade Marlowe paced the AquaSox offense with a double, home run and three runs batted in. Jake Anchia also doubled and homered, and Connor Hoover added a two-run shot for Everett.
Tim Elliott bounced back from his worst outing of the season with one of his best. Elliott allowed two runs on three hits in eight innings while striking out eight and walking only one. Evan Johnson struck out two in a perfect ninth inning for Everett (37-19).
Sean Roby and Heath Quinn each had a double and an RBI for Eugene (34-23).
