SPOKANE — The Spokane Indians scored three runs in the first inning and that was all they needed to earn a 3-1 win over the Everett AquaSox on Wednesday night.
Sterlin Thompson’s RBI double and Zach Kokoska’s two-run home run provided the Indians with an early 3-0 cushion.
The AquaSox got a run back in the top of the third on an RBI double from Hogan Windish, one of just three total hits in the game for the offense.
Nick Davila started for Everett (40-37, 6-5 second half) and turned in a quality effort. Davila allowed just the three runs in the first and finished with six hits allowed over seven innings.
Carson Palmquist struck out six and allowed one run on just two hits in five innings for Spokane (39-37, 6-5).
