PASCO — Hogan Windish hit a go-ahead single in a three-run fifth inning and the Everett AquaSox hung on for a 4-3 win over the Tri-City Dust Devils on Thursday night.
Trailing 2-1, Alberto Rodriguez tied the game with an RBI double in the key fifth frame. Windish gave the AquaSox the lead and Ben Ramirez added a crucial RBI double to make the score 4-2.
The Dust Devils got one back on a sacrifice fly from Adrian Placencia in the bottom of the eighth, but the AquaSox staved off the comeback attempt.
Rodriguez finished the game 3-for-4 with a double and an RBI, and Windish drove in two runs. Raul Alcantara struck out seven and allowed just two runs on six hits in five innings for Everett ( 29-31).
Myles Emmerson drove in a pair of runs for Tri-City (31-29).
