VANCOUVER, B.C. — The Everett AquaSox fell to the Vancouver Canadians 7-5 on Thursday night.
Jorge Benitez took the loss for the AquaSox after allowing six runs — five earned — on six hits in 3.1 innings. He walked four and struck out one.
Cesar Izturis Jr. had two hits and an RBI in the loss for Everett (23-28 overall, 5-8 second half) and Luis Joseph had two hits and scored a run.
Tanner Morris and Ronny Brito were standouts at the plate for the Canadians (19-32, 4-9). Morris went 2-for-4 with four RBI and a run scored. Brito collected three hits, including a double, and scored a run and drove in another.
Vancouver starter Alek Manoah didn’t allow a hit over his three innings of work while striking out seven and walking two.
