VANCOUVER, B.C. — Dasan Brown hit a walk-off two-run home run in the bottom of the 10th inning and the Vancouver Canadians beat the Everett AquaSox 3-1 on Wednesday night at Nat Bailey Stadium.
The AquaSox missed out on a prime scoring chance in the top of the 10th inning.
Cole Barr started the inning at second base and advanced to third on a wild pitch. Colin Davis was hit by a pitch to give Everett runners at first and third with no outs. Erick Stock followed with a flyout to center field and Barr was thrown out at home trying to score on the play as Davis advanced to third. Harry Ford followed with a walk, but Ben Ramirez grounded out to end the threat.
Everett’s Mike Salvatore hit a solo home run in the fifth for the first run of the game. Riley Tirotta answered with a sacrifice fly in the bottom of the sixth to pull the Canadians even at 1-1.
Reid VanScoter started for Everett (14-14) and allowed just one earned run on four hits in six innings. VanScoter struck out six and walked two.
Chad Dallas matched VanScoter for Vancouver, with the same line of one run allowed on four hits in six innings with six strikeouts.
