Everett AquaSox’s infielder Bobby Honeyman has been named Northwest League Player of the Week after going 14-for-31 (.452 batting average) at the plate from July 30 to August 5.
The Mariners’ 29th-round pick leads the league in batting average heading into the All-Star break at .386. He improved his mark 36 points over the seven-game stretch while tallying four doubles, one home run, seven RBI and 10 runs scored.
His torrid week in the batter’s box was highlighted by a 5-for-5 performance with a pair of doubles and runs scored against Boise this past Wednesday.
