YAKIMA, Wash. — Nickole Bartholomew scored 10 of her 11 points in the first half, and Archbishop Murphy beat East Valley of Yakima 46-41 on Saturday for fifth place in the Class 2A girls state tournament.
Bartholomew canned all three of her 3-pointers in the first half as ATM built a 27-15 halftime lead.
Savannah Fletcher also scored 11 points for the Wildcats (24-3), and Shelby Lyman added 10.
The trophy is ATM’s third in seven state trips, while EV earned its 17th straight trophy in 19 appearances.
Mary Orthmann scored 12 points and Annie Martinez chipped in 10 for the Red Devils (20-6).
Megan Carlson pulled down nine of ATM’s 42 rebounds; Kaylah Gonzales grabbed six of EV’s 31 rebounds.
