Associated Press high school football poll for Week 10

Wesco 4A champion Lake Stevens takes over as the top-ranked team in Class 4A.

Lake Stevens sent a message to rest of the state in Week 9 by dismantling top-ranked Glacier Peak in a highly anticipated Wesco 4A title showdown.

Now the Vikings are the state’s top Class 4A team in the eyes of media members from across the state.

Lake Stevens received six first-place votes and secured the No. 1 spot in the latest Associated Press high school football poll. The Grizzlies, who held on to the top ranking for five weeks, fell to No. 5.

Monroe moved down two spots to No. 8 in 3A after a narrow loss to Ferndale in the Wesco 3A title game. Stanwood, which beat Snohomish in a Wesco 3A crossover contest last week, also remains ranked but fell one place to No. 9.

Here’s a look at the complete rankings from each classification, with first-place votes in parenthesis, overall record and total points:
