Big Basketball tripleheader Saturday at Everett CC

The Edmonds and Everett hoops teams square off in important NWAC match-ups; plus firefighter game.

On Saturday the Walt Price Student Fitness Center on the campus of Everett Community College will play host to a big-time basketball tripleheader.

Saturday’s trio of games includes not only two important Northwest Athletic Conference North Region games between Snohomish County’s rival community colleges, in between will be a game for a good cause.

The day begins with a game between the Everett CC and Edmonds CC women, with both teams off to 2-1 starts in North Region play and currently tied for second place.

After that is the charity game between the Everett Fire Department and the South Snohomish County Fire Department, in which all proceeds go to the Washington State Council of Firefighters Burn Foundation.

It concludes with a crunch contest between the Everett CC and Edmonds CC men, with the game being for first place in the North Region as both teams are undefeated in region play at 3-0.

Here’s the day’s schedule:

2:30 p.m. — Edmonds CC women vs. Everett CC women

4:30 p.m. — South Snohomish County Fire Department vs. Everett Fire Department

6:00 p.m. — Edmonds CC men vs. Everett CC men
