“Red Gold”, the documentary film on a proposed pebble mine in Alaska that opponents fear will ruin the world’s best salmon fishery, will begin a West Coast fund-raising tour in Seattle on Oct. 17.
Sponsored by Trout Unlimited, the Bristol Bay Road Show will begin at 7 p.m. at Leif Erikson Lodge, 2245 Northwest 57th St., Seattle. The Seattle show will followed by showings in Portland, Ore.; Corvallis, Ore.; San Francisco, Calf., Santa Fe, New Mexico; and Denver, Col.
The movie, which is an award-winning film, is free.
There will also be outdoor gear raffles, food, and drinks, all designed to help raise money to fight the proposed mining operation.
