Campbell’s goal in OT lifts Silvertips over Chiefs

Everett rallies back from an early deficit to beat Spokane 2-1.

SPOKANE — Hunter Campbell scored on an assist from Ryan Hofer just over a minute into overtime as the Everett Silvertips rallied to beat the Spokane Chiefs 2-1 on Saturday night at Veterans Memorial Arena.

Spokane struck first on a goal from Yannick Proske at 17:58 in the opening period.

The game remained tied until Everett broke through with a goal from Olen Zellweger at the start of the third and the game remained even at the end of regulation.

Braden Holt stopped 12 of 13 shots for Everett (9-0-0-1), which beat the Chiefs for the second time in two nights.

Mason Beaupit stopped 35 of 37 shots for Spokane (3-8-1-0).

The two teams meet again in Everett on Wednesday. Puck drop is set for 7:05 p.m.
