EUGENE, Ore. — Nick Rodriguez hit a solo home run in the fifth inning to give the Everett AquaSox a 1-0 win over the Eugene Emeralds on Tuesday.
David Ellingson got Tyler Durna to hit into a double play with a runner on first to end the game for his first save of the season.
Everett starter Jheyson Caraballo (3-0) picked up the win after scattering seven hits over six scoreless innings. Opposing starter Ryan Williams (1-3) took the tough loss in the Northwest League game after allowing one run and five hits over six innings.
The Emeralds were held off the scoreboard for the second time this season, while the AquaSox’s staff recorded their second shutout of the year.
