LYNNWOOD – Cascade is sitting in third place after the first day of the 4A girls bowling state meet, but the Bruins want a better seat.
Cascade trails South Kitsap by 100 pins and second-place Wilson, the defending champion, by 43 going into today’s final competition at Lynnwood Lanes.
Can the Bruins make up the difference?
“It’s doable,” Cascade coach Ron Hicks said. “We feel like it is. That’s our goal, to do it.”
Cascade’s Breanne Mattson finished second in the individual competition which ended Friday. She averaged 191 pins per game and was named to the all-tournament team.
In the 3A meet, Everett was in fourth place after the first day.
