The Seahawks announced the cornerback Ron Parker has been placed on injured reserve with an undisclosed injury. Parker, who Seattle claimed off of waivers from Oakland in October, saw most of his action on special teams.
The Seahawks have not yet announced a move of who will replace him Parker on the roster, but earlier today, receiver Doug Baldwin indicated on Twitter that practice squad receiver Ricardo Lockette was on his way up to the 53-man roster. Lockette, an undrafted rookie with blazing speed, has been with the Seahawks since training camp. Nothing official has been announced, and isn’t expected to today, so we’ll have to wait until tomorrow for word from Pete Carroll.
Seattle also released DE Keith Darbut from the practice squad and added DE John Graves.
UPDATE
Parker’s injury, a team spokesman said, is an Achilles injury. Also, no announcement will come Tuesday, but the Seahawks are indeed expected to add Lockette on Wednesday.
