Colts’ owner Irsay ‘demands’ better pass protection

INDIANAPOLIS — Colts owner Jim Irsay didn’t like his team’s pass protection, either.

On Wednesday, the Twitter-savvy Irsay wrote that he “demands” a better effort this week after Sunday’s effort against Oakland. Quarterback Andrew Luck was sacked four times in the win.

Irsay, who paid millions of dollars to shore up the protection for Luck, made it clear he expects more against Miami. He tweeted that the running backs, tight ends and coaches all need to improve — and called on the team to make sure Luck is protected better the rest of the season.

After losing to Buffalo in the preseason opener, Irsay took to Twitter to apologize to fans.
