GLENDALE, Ariz. — For the second time this season, a Seahawk player was hospitalized with a rib injury during a game.
Seahawks running back Julius Jones, who carried only twice for 10 yards, suffered a broken rib in the first quarter. Seahawks coach Jim Mora said that Jones would spend the night at an area hospital as a precaution.
“There’s an issue there,” Mora said. “He’s not in any danger, but we’re going to play it safe.”
ESPN.com reported
Mora said Jones’ playing status for next week is unknown.
Quarterback Matt Hasselbeck was hospitalized during the Seahawks week two loss in San Francisco after suffering fractured ribs.
