Darrington girls ousted

SPOKANE — Martina Diaz scored a game-high 19 points and Taylor Montgomery added 18 and grabbed eight rebounds as Entiat (16-6) torched the nets with 49.2 percent shooting from 3-point range to eliminate Darrington (15-8) with a 66-46 victory in a consolation game Thursday morning in the 2B state tournament.

Darrington’s biggest push came during a 13-3 run in the second quarter to pull the Loggers to within two points of the Tigers, but they were outscored 33-17 in the second half.

Junior guard Hailey Wales poured in 14 points and snared 10 rebounds for the Loggers.
