DARRINGTON – Darrington High School raised four state championship banners Friday night at the beginning of the defending champion Darrington boys basketball game against Concrete in front of a packed crowd at the Darrington Community Gymnasium. Aside from the banner raised for last season’s boys basketball team, the school also raised banners for the 1955 and 1957 boys basketball teams and one for the 1981 state champion baseball team.
Then the Loggers went on to defeate Concrete, 45-35. Senior Evan Smith scored 12 points and junior Sean O’Connell added 11 points to lead Darrington to the non-league victory.
