Washington just released its weekly depth chart and there is some movement as two players appear to be out this week after suffering injuries against Arizona State.
It looks like Jason Wells will miss this week’s game after a knee injury, as Mesphin Forrester is listed as the starter at free safety with Chris Hemphill as the backup. Wells missed the Oregon State game with a concussions as well. And freshman middle linebacker Donald Butler (calf) is off the depth chart and has been replaced by Trenton Tuiasosopo as the backup to Tahj Bomar.
Carl Bonnell is listed as the starter at quarterback, which means his concussion probably wasn’t as serious as it could have been. Johnny DuRocher is the backup and Jake Locker is still listed as the No.3, though we know he’s going to redshirt and that Felix Sweetman is actually the third-string.
Kenny James and Louis Rankin are co-starters at tailback. We’ll see how well James comes back from his ankle injury this week.
Paul Homer is Mark Palaita’s backup at fullback after Luke Kravitz went down midway through last week with a knee problem.
And Marlon Wood is now listed ahead of Marcel Reece on the receiver depth chart. Both are still behind Sonny Shackelford and Cody Ellis at that spot.
We’ll have more later after meeting with Tyrone Willingham this afternoon.
