Edmonds-Woodway’s Younghan Kim and Dylan Merrill beat Kamiak’s Andrew and Dominic Lee 6-2, 6-7, 6-1 to win the 4A District 1 doubles championship Oct. 26 at Stanwood High School.
Jackson’s Mitch Williamson rallied to beat Stanwood’s Gergo Miller 4-6, 7-5, 6-4 to claim the singles title.
In the 3A District 1 tournament, Meadowdale’s Brian Nguyen reeled off three straight wins after losing his first match to advance to the consolation finals. Nguyen lost 6-2, 6-2 to Glacier Peak’s Dylan Mozlowski.
Meadowdale’s Evan DeVries and Andrew Fijalka lost to Shorewood’s Hunter Nelson and Miles Jamieson 6-4, 6-4 in the doubles final. The Maverick duo then fell 7-5, 6-4 to Ferndale’s Tanner Hansen and Erik Arntsen in the doubles consolation final.
Shorewood’s Juan Ramirez won the singles title with a 6-2, 6-1 victory over Mozlowski.
