It’s been a few of years since I have had the chance to make some pictures at the Monroe Fair. Three years ago, when I was a lowly photo intern, I was given the monumental task of writing and shooting a photo column from the fair. Thankfully, Herald staff photographer Dan Bates helped lighten the load, and between the two of us we tackled the column in the summer heat. Now, I am a staff photographer and I was happy to go back and shoot haphazardly without the weight of the column hanging over my head. Anywho, here’s a couple of images I made yesterday at the fair. Oh…and don’t forget to check out Mark Mulligan’s (our new photo intern) fair column running all week on page B3.
