Everett boys tennis team notches 3rd straight Wesco 3A title

MARYSVILLE – The Everett boys tennis team wrapped up its third straight Western Conference 3A dual-meet championship Friday with a 7-0 victory over Arlington.

The Seagulls, led by its top three singles players all of whom were undefeated for the second straight season, finished with a 13-1 league record. No. 1 and 2 singles players, Sunny Samuel and Blake Twisselman, were 16-0 for the second straight year. No. 3 singles player, Chau Le, who did not compete Friday, was 15-0 for the second straight year.

  • Archbishop Murphy 7, Friday Harbor 0: Danielle Bair scored five goals in Archbishop Murphy’s Northwest A League win Thursday.

    Goals-Bair 5, Hammond, Warnock. Goalkeepers-Archbishop Murphy: Krell. Friday Harbor: Brem. Records-Archbishop Murphy 4-0 in league, 10-1-1 overall.

  • Summit 3, Cedar Park Christian 0: At Summit H.S., Summit (5-2 in league, 9-3 overall) won the Sea-Tac B match 15-10, 15-10, 15-13. Cedar Park Christian (4-3, 6-6) was led by Stephanie Miksa’s 14 assists, and 12 digs.
