SPOKANE — Everett Community College’s Catie Arrigoni won the 3,000 meter steeplechase in the Northwest Athletic Association of Community Colleges Track &Field Championships with a time of 11 minutes, 27.16 seconds on Monday.
The 19-year-old sophomore beat out Clackamas CC’s Grace Viuhkola (11:52.04) and Everett’s Brenna Eldredge (11:57.62), but couldn’t top her season and NWAACC best time of 10:59.70 on the opening day of the two-day event.
Everett’s Rachel Cundy (38:52.5) and Kristina Cordy (40:05.7) placed first and second, respectively, in the 10,000 meter race.
On the men’s side, Habtamu Rubio (33:35.0) placed second in the 10,000 meter race for the Trojans.
