Everett rallies to win in bottom of the 9th

EVERETT – Everett edged Edmonds-Woodway 1-0 Friday, winning the Western Conference South Division fastpitch softball game in the bottom of the ninth inning on a bases-loaded, fielder’s choice grounder by Chelsea Beck.

The unbeaten Seagulls (2-0) loaded the bases with one out on singles by Amy Hudson and Victoria Coury and, following a sacrifice bunt, an intentional walk to Julie Vanek. Beck followed with a grounder to second.

Hudson batted 2-for-3. In addition to pitching a one-hitter, Vanek had a triple.

Kamiak 6, Mariner 1: Megan Arp struckout 10 batters and was 3-for-4 with a double and an RBI to lead Kamiak to the Wesco South victory.
