ENSTONE, England — Former Formula One world champion Fernando Alonso was traveling back to Europe on Monday after being involved in a minor plane incident while on holiday.
The Renault F1 team said its star driver, who won two world titles with the team, was with his family in Kenya on Sunday when the wing of a plane they were traveling in on the ground was damaged by hitting an airport building.
None of the passengers were hurt, Renault spokeswoman Marie Hirth said.
