If you’re counting the hours until the 2010 high school football season begins, you know the big day is almost here.
In Washington, prep football teams start fall practice on Aug. 18, and most of the season-opening games for local teams will be on Sept. 3. Our high school football preview will appear in The Herald (in print and online) the week of the first games. It will include lengthy stories, player profiles, team capsules, coaches’ predictions and much more.
Practice for other fall sports (girls soccer, volleyball, boys and girls cross country, girls swimming and diving, boys tennis) starts on Aug. 23. Our season previews for those sports will most likely be published in early- to mid-September.
