SPOKANE — Harry Ford and Hogan Windish both homered in the first inning and the Everett AquaSox beat Spokane 6-4 on Wednesday night for their seventh straight win.
Ford, the top prospect in the Seattle Mariners’ farm system, hit his 15th home run of the season and also stole his 24th base. Windish hit home run No. 20 and also doubled and tripled in the game.
Bill Knight added a solo home run in the second, his first since being called up to Everett on Aug. 30, and Josh Hood drove in two runs. Cole Young finished 3-for-5.
Raul Alcantara started on the mound for Everett (68-54, 34-22) and allowed three runs, one earned, on five hits in five innings. Alcantara struck out six and didn’t walk a batter. Sam Carlson walked one and struck out one in the ninth to earn his sixth save of the season.
Robby Martin Jr. had two hits and drove in two runs for Spokane (58-61, 25-29).
