The Idaho Steelheads of the ECHL announced on Thursday that former Silvertips overager Zack Andrusiak signed a deal with the team for the 2019-2020 season.
Andrusiak, 21, was traded to Everett via archrival Seattle as the centerpiece of a blockbuster New Year’s Day deal, and posted 25 points (11 goals, 14 assists) in 29 regular season games and nine points (six goals, three assists) in 10 playoff games for the Silvertips. Andrusiak registered 149 points over 202 Western Hockey League games, most with the Thunderbirds.
Andrusiak the second Silvertips overager from 2018-2019 to ink a professional contract, joining Artyom Minulin, who signed with Metallurg Magnitogorsk of the KHL. The future plans for Sahvan Khaira, the third Everett overager from last season, has not been announced anywhere.
