Four pins help Oak Harbor defeat M. Terrace

MOUNTLAKE TERRACE – The Oak Harbor Wildcats used four pins to defeat Mountlake Terrace 52-24 in a non-conference meet Tuesday night at Mountlake Terrace High School.

The victory improved the Wildcats record to 2-0 overall.

Miles Hartt had one of the four pins, matting his opponent in 56 seconds at the 160-pound weight class.

At 130 pounds, Terrace’s Zach Leonard defeated Oak Harbor’s Jake Daniel 8-5. Leonard scored a two-point reversal with 10 seconds remaining to secure the victory.

Ferndale 3, Mount Vernon 0: At Ferndale, Ashley Ackerman had a 209 game and a 527 series to lead Ferndale (12-15) to the Wesco win at Mt. Baker Lanes. Allysa Kippenham led Mount Vernon (4-22) with a 184 game and a 540 series.

Everett 2, Jackson 1: At Ferndale, led by Jennifer Beck, who had a 186 game and a 499 series, Everett (24-3) was able to pull out a Wesco win at Mt. Baker Lanes. Jackson (19-8) was led by Jaime Ellis, who had a 169 game and 481 series.

Cascade 3, Anacortes 0: At Ferndale, Breanne Mattson had a 235 game and a 580 series, Sara Elliott had a 200 game and a 541 series and Anastasia Adams added a 199 game and 543 series to lead Cascade (22-5) to the Wesco win over Anacortes (0-27) at Mt. Baker Lanes.
