HILLSBORO, Ore. — Spencer Horwitz drove in Tanner Kirwer on a walk-off single in the bottom of the ninth inning as the Vancouver Canadians beat Everett 5-4 on Thursday night to snap the AquaSox’s three-game win streak.
Julio Rodriguez, Carter Bins, Jack Larsen and Joseph Rosa had base hits, but that all the Everett offense could muster in the loss.
AquaSox pitchers issued 11 walks in the game, but struck out 12 Canadians batters. Bernie Martinez struck out four and allowed one run on two hits in 2.1 innings for Everett (14-7).
DJ Neal went 2-for-4 with a double and Luis Quinones allowed only one hit over five innings for Vancouver (13-8).
