Game 2: Lineup notes

The most significat news is that Everett leading scorer Kellan Tochkin is not in the lineup tonight. Tochkin suffered an upper-body injury Friday night and missed the second half of the game. No word on his status for Wednesday’s Game 3 in Everett. Coming into the lineup in place of Tochkin is defenseman Paul Sohor, meaning the Tips have seven d-men dressed tonight. I suspect we’ll see Sohor on defense and Drew McDermott as the fourth-line center, but we’ll have to wait and see. Defenseman Mike Alexander remains sidelined with an upper-body injury. Forwards Tyler Parker, Markus McCrea and Campbell Elynuik and defenseman Alex Theriau are healthy scratches.

Tri-City made one lineup change from Friday as forward Spencer Asuchak returned from his two-game suspension. He replaced forward Brock Zimak in the lineup. Forward Petr Stoklasa (shoulder) and defenseman Brett Plouffe (leg) remain injured. Goaltender Drew Owsley is a healthy scratch.
