Players to watch: Archbishop Murphy running back Alex Martinez scored on a pair of 3-yard runs to lead the Wildcats past W.F. West. He finished with 141 yards on 28 carries. Lynden’s Jordan Hastings ran for two touchdowns and threw for another in the win over Sequim. Hastings finished with 122 yards on 22 carries.
Breakdown: The Wildcats get the matchup they’ve wanted. Lynden beat Archbishop Murphy 21-13 in last year’s semifinals. The Wildcats upended the Lions 34-20 to open the season at Qwest Field but a lot of has happened since then. Archbishop Murphy will want to establish the ground game and avoid the turnovers that plagued them in last year’s semifinal loss. The defense must contain Hastings.
Enterprise pick: Archbishop Murphy 28, Lynden 21
