Hemmerling scores in OT, Silvertips top Hurricanes

Everett gives up a late goal to force the extra period, but pulls out a 4-3 win at home.

EVERETT — Ben Hemmerling scored his second goal of the game 3 minutes, 36 seconds into overtime and the Everett Silvertips pulled out a 4-3 win over the visiting Lethbridge Hurricanes on Wednesday night.

Logan Wormald scored with just seconds remaining in the game to force the extra period, before Hemmerling gave the Silvertips the win on assists from Ty Gibson and Raphael Pelletier.

Gibson also scored in the first period, Pelletier added a goal in the third period and Tyler Palmer made 38 saves for Everett (20-19-1-0).

Jett Jones and Joe Arnsten added goals and Harrison Meneghin made 28 saves for Lethbridge (24-15-1-2).
