Hops hand AquaSox 3rd straight defeat

Everett rallies to force extra innings, but loses by a score of 4-3 for the third consecutive game.

HILLSBORO, Ore. — Kevin Graham hit a walk-off single in the bottom of the 10th inning and the Hillsboro Hops beat the Everett AquaSox 4-3 on Wednesday night at Ron Tonkin Field.

After falling behind 3-0 after five innings, Everett scored twice in the sixth and once in the eighth to pull even and force extra innings.

In the sixth, Alberto Rodriguez plated Jonatan Clase and Harry Ford with a two-run double to cut the AqauSox’s deficit to 3-2.

Then in the eighth, Harry Ford was hit by a pitch and later scored on a wild pitch by Conor Grammes as Everett tied the game at 3-3.

Rodriguez finished the game 2-for-4, Ford went o-for-3 with a walk and two runs scored, and Raul Alcantara struck out eight and allowed just one earned run on three hits in four innings for Everett (1-3).

Shane Muntz went 2-for-3 with an RBI and a run scored for Hillsboro (4-1).

After opening the season with a 4-3 win, the AquaSox have dropped three straight games, all by the same 4-3 score.
