Journey gets 1st Grays Harbor win

ELMA, Wash. — Allison Journey of Springfield picked up her second Triple X Racing Co. “Ford Focus Midgets” feature win of her young career and her first at Grays Harbor Raceway when she parlayed her pole position to a green flag to checkered flag victory in 20-lap main event.

Journey had the pole position with point’s leader Jonathan Jorgenson, Auburn on the outside of the front row.

Journey took the green flag, followed by Jorgenson, Seth Hespe, Snohomish, Jeremy Miller, Montesano and Aerial Biggs, Hoquiam.

Nearly half of the starting field was out of the race when Jorgenson flipped his car in turn-4 and Brandon Daniel, McCleary layed his over on its side on lap-5.

Hespe challenged Journey a couple of times before the finish but couldn’t get by her.

Hespe finished second, Miller third, Todd Hartman fourth and Biggs fifth.
